Rochdale homes refurbished by Emanuel Whittaker

No win no fee solicitors Rochdale have welcomed news that houses across the borough are being refurbished by Emanuel Whittaker for Rochdale Boroughwide Housing (RBH) during Property Maintenance Week.

RochdaleOnline.co.uk reports that all RBH residents can receive assistance from Emanuel Whittaker to help them deal with any household maintenance projects they need.

Some of the work operatives have done has improved the health and safety of residents and reduced RBH's liability in personal injury claims, such as by using rock salt at Stephenson Square and on the Hollin Estate.

A home in Castleton's Holborn Street was rewired as part of a larger refurbishment, while a Roch Mills Crescent household saw the joists replaced in the kitchen ceiling.

While Emanuel Whittaker is keen for people to take advantage of its services, John Gallagher, the company's Contracts Director, said that he is also happy to offer people advice.

Some of the advice the group has been providing relates to winter home repairs. Mr Gallagher said that people should know where their main stop tap is, so they can turn it off should the pipes burst.
He also said that condensation over winter can be alleviated by using extractor fans or opening windows, by drying clothes outdoors or in the dryer rather than over the radiators, and by mopping down window frames. Condensation mould can be dealt with through the use of fungicidals, which are found in the majority of DIY stores. Once the mould has been cleaned away, people should repaint the wall with a fungicidal paint.

Personal injury solicitor compensation said that regardless of whether or not a person rents their home or owns it outright, taking care of the property is "essential", especially during the colder months. He said the advice and assistance Emanuel Whittaker has offered has been "much appreciated".

People who rent their home from the council or from a landlord may be able to make a personal injury claim in some instances in which the council or landlord's negligence has led them to suffer a personal injury. For more information, speak with personal injury solicitors Burnley today.
